Health Care and Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Crisis Intervention Specialist for Crisis Services in Windsor County, based in Springfield, VT. The role provides risk assessment, brief supportive counseling, and referrals to resources during mental health crises.

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience required; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience working with people of all ages in the mental health and/or substance use context.
• The ability to complete a mental status exam and suicide assessment on individuals in distress and make appropriate referrals for services.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external providers.

Responsibilities

The pay for this position is $59,752.50-$64,704 annually.

As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will be providing risk assessment, brief supportive counseling, referral to resources and other identified supports to individuals and families experiencing a mental health crisis.
