Job summary

LifeStance Health is seeking an Intake Coordinator to support new patients in establishing care with providers. The role focuses on scheduling initial assessments, collecting demographic data, verifying insurance eligibility, and managing referrals to match patients with suitable clinicians.

The position requires strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Hours are standard business times, with remote/work-from-home flexibility described for a HIPAA-compliant workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a contact center or healthcare environment.
• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle communications via phone, email, voicemail, faxes, and chat.
• Identify scheduling barriers and communicate patient trends to Intake.
• Schedule initial appointments with detailed notes on patient needs.
• Collect and verify patient insurance information and eligibility for in-network benefits.
• Assist new patients with portal setup and new patient paperwork; collect payment information as needed.
• Document all patient interactions in the EHR system; support referrals and prior authorizations.
