Job summary

The Center for Great Expectations (CGE) is seeking compassionate Mental Health Associates for our Adolescent Residential “Mommy and Me” Program in Somerset, NJ. You will support mothers and their children within a trauma-informed care framework, working full-time or part-time with flexible evening hours.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, medications, recreational activities, transportation, and emotional support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of youth group experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's in a field unrelated to social work/psychology with 6 months youth group experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's in social work, psychology or a related field

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living and parenting tasks to support children's stability
• Ensure medications are administered correctly and on schedule
• Engage in recreational activities promoting physical and emotional well‑being
• Provide transportation to appointments and services as needed
• Offer emotional support and de‑escalation while staying calm
• Assist with admissions and discharges to ensure smooth transitions
