Job summary

NorthKey Community Care in Covington, KY is seeking a full-time Mental Health Access Specialist to provide intake, screening, and level of care assessments. The role coordinates with referrals, collaborates with a treatment team, and delivers evidence-based services tailored to client needs.

Bachelor's in behavioral health is required, with current enrollment or planned Masters in Counseling, Social Work, or MFT. Flexibility for classes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a behavioral health field of study from an accredited institution.
• Currently enrolled OR planned enrollment in a Master’s degree program in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Experience in behavioral health is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services for intake, screening, level of care assessment, and coordination with referrals to appropriate services for behavioral health clients.
• Conduct comprehensive needs assessments, risk assessments, and psychosocial histories of incoming clients.
• Collaborate with the treatment team, including therapists/counselors, case managers, and prescribers, and participate in clients' ongoing assessment, diagnosis, and collateral treatment.
• Provide clinically appropriate treatment and utilize the most appropriate evidence-based practice(s) based on clients' needs.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic health record.
• Fully participate in staff development opportunities offered to enhance professional growth.
• Participate in supervision and case consultation conferences as necessary.
