Job summary

Nahmias is seeking an experienced menswear designer in Los Angeles to join the team full-time. You will help translate collection concepts into luxury garments, working closely with the creative director to realize each vision.

The role requires strong sketching, drawing, and technical execution, with a deep understanding of garment construction and premium finishes. Collaboration with development, production, and patterning teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in menswear design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing elevated menswear design and development.
• Exceptional sketching, drawing, and illustration abilities.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrication, and luxury finishing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced creative environment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Deep knowledge of luxury fashion, contemporary culture, music, sport, and art.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of seasonal menswear collections across ready-to-wear categories.
• Create detailed hand sketches, technical drawings, CADs, and design presentations.
• Execute concepts and seasonal narratives in line with the Creative Director’s vision.
• Research fabrics, trims, vintage references, graphics, and cultural inspiration.
• Participate in fittings, proto reviews, and garment development meetings.
• Collaborate with development, production, and patternmaking teams to ensure design integrity.
• Prepare tech packs and maintain accurate design specifications.
• Support runway presentations, lookbooks, campaigns, and special projects as needed.
• Maintain organization of design archives, references, and seasonal materials.
