Job summary

Manière De Voir in New York, NY is seeking a creative Menswear Designer to join our team. You will translate research and concepts into authentic designs alongside the CEO, focusing on timeless silhouettes and tasteful details.

You will create technical drawings for production, manage fabric and trim sourcing, and participate in weekly fit sessions to refine design details. The role rewards strong taste, organisation, and the ability to present work to the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience working for/with high-end tasteful retailers is essential.
• Exceptional levels of taste and aesthetic judgement is essential.
• Confident using Adobe Software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Highly organised with good time management skills.
• Willingness and flexibility to adapt ways of working to meet brand requirements and deadlines, and present work to a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating authentic designs from research and concept presentations through to final product along side the CEO.
• Focusing on enhancing the details, fabrication and construction of timeless silhouettes and co-ords, ensuring everything is truly original and tasteful.
• Create technical drawings and specifications for production.
• Manage sourcing requests to suppliers i.e., fabric and trim.
• Managing the organisation of the fabric and trim library.
• Partner with Production and Product Development on supplier allocation, costing obstacles, and quality adherence.
• Attend weekly fit sessions giving input into design details whilst assisting the garment technologists with any CADs needed on the back of changes for fit comments.
• Preparing monthly release CAD boards for display.
• Preparing design and sign-off meeting note packsUndertake and compile competitor shop reports and seasonal/monthly trend reports
