Job summary

The Nehemiah Project is seeking a Men’s House Supervisor to oversee the men’s shelter, conduct intake and case management, supervise innkeepers, and coordinate with volunteers and partner agencies. The role emphasizes spiritual guidance, crisis support, and maintaining a safe, well-run facility.

Responsibilities include weekly guest meetings, discharge planning, and fundraising participation while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with project policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; degrees preferred.
• Experience in social work or ministry nonprofit settings is desirable.
• Familiarity with resources for homeless populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake of all male guests.
• Prescribe and oversee behaviors of male guests with best judgment.
• Discharge guests per project policies and director guidance.
• Meet with each guest weekly for spiritual guidance and support.
• Collaborate with agencies and volunteers for wraparound care.
• Train and supervise Men’s House Innkeepers; conduct monthly meetings.
• Be on call to address situations; arrange substitutes if needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and safe operation of the Men’s House.
• Maintain detailed case notes for guests.
• Represent The Nehemiah Project publicly to raise awareness and funds.
