Job summary

The North Face is seeking a Designer - Men's Apparel in Denver to elevate design expression across performance and lifestyle lines. You will support seasonal concepts, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and work on products suited for Snow, Climb and Trail, plus lifestyle silhouettes.

With 4+ years in performance and lifestyle apparel design, you will demonstrate strong sketching, tech-pack skills and a solid understanding of product development, materials and fit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience in performance and lifestyle apparel design, preferably with high focus on men’s apparel.
• Preferred knowledge of both outerwear and sportswear design and product construction.
• Strong product acumen with working knowledge of apparel product development processes, including design, development, sourcing and manufacturing.
• Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office.
• Good level sketching, excellent tech-pack creation skills and attention to detail.
• Experience doing research, prototyping and concepting across lifestyle and performance products.
• Cross functional and team collaboration and communication.
• Excellent collaboration skills and an ability to manage multiple timelines and deadlines.
• Proactive approach to identifying the root cause of challenges, seeking the best solutions with a values driven commitment to do what is right for the product and business needs.
• High degree of agility and adaptability, change mindset.
• Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and support the team on elevating design expression for men’s performance and lifestyle apparel.
• Support the Men’s Apparel Design Team on seasonal product design work and creative vision.
• Work on products built for Snow/Climb/Trail and lifestyle lines inspired by those territories.
• Contribute to seasonal research, tool updates, concepts, product design and tech-packing.
• Handle moderately complex products including seasonal research and insights, presentation tools, concepts and deliverables.
• Present design work at seasonal gates and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
• Align with brand aesthetic, DNA, materials, fit, silhouette, cost engineering for consumer and business needs.
• Participate in team reviews, workshops and milestones to foster learning and growth.
