Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a CPU Memory Subsystem Verification Engineer in Austin, TX to tackle challenging verification tasks across memory subsystems within CPU/SoC architectures.

You will collaborate with CPU, GPU, and RTL teams, building robust verification environments and IPs to ensure correct coherence and performance. This role demands strong programming, analytic skills, and a passion for hardware verification.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer/Electrical Engineering required.
• 2+ years of processor verification experience preferred.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Verilog, and scripting.
• Deep knowledge of digital logic design, CPU/SOC architecture, and memory subsystems.
• Experience with unit and full-chip level test benches, stimulus generation, and verification plans.

Responsibilities

• Verify memory subsystem end-to-end in CPU/GPU/SOC contexts; understand cache coherence protocols.
• Develop verification environments for simulation and emulation.
• Create synthesizable transactors, test benches, and verification hooks.
• Produce end-to-end checks for CPU-SOC memory subsystem interactions and coherence.
• Develop verification IPs and collaborate with RTL teams to refine verification strategy.
• Debug issues across pre- and post-silicon stages and propose fixes.
