Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide dementia care and daily living support in a senior living community. You will engage residents with meaningful activities, assist with ADLs, and help maintain accurate care records.

Emphasis on respectful, person-centered care and safety. Position is on-site at our Fort Collins community with opportunities for training and growth within Brookdale’s caregiving teams.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma is required or preferred.
• 3–6 months related experience in direct care with older adults preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease, is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provides dementia care and meaningful engagement following an individual service plan.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and daily living activities.
• Maintains accurate daily records and notes changes in residents' health and behavior.
• Supports meal service and promotes proper nutrition and hydration.
• Encourages resident participation in planned programs and social activities.
