Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care- Caregiver (HCA/CNA) for day shift to support residents with daily activities, nutrition, mobility, and engagement. You will document changes, follow policies, and work with nurses and staff to maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

The role requires compassion, clear communication, and the ability to lift and assist residents. Weekend availability and ongoing training are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in caregiving preferred.
• Completion of required caregiver training and certifications.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and assist with mobility.
• English reading/writing required.
• Current First Aid/CPR card.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Criminal background and fingerprint check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers.
• Offer companionship through conversation and activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and keep a safe living area.
• Monitor safety and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain open communication with families and staff.
• Document care provided and changes in condition.
• Treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Attend trainings and team meetings; collaborate with staff.
• Handle crisis situations calmly; other duties as assigned.
• Weekend availability for 8-hour PT AM shifts.
