Job summary

Heritage Springs Memory Care in Lewisburg, WV seeks compassionate Resident Assistants to provide person-centered care, support daily living activities, and create a warm, home-like environment where residents thrive. You will work with the care team to follow individualized plans and document care accurately.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, promoting dignity, responding to resident needs, and helping residents stay safe and engaged in meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in personal care, assisted living, or senior care preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
• Ability to document care accurately and timely.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or obtainable within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming) per resident plans.
• Promote independence, dignity, privacy, and comfort for residents.
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and redirection as needed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of safety equipment.
• Conduct rounds, wellness checks, and safety observations.
• Document care and report changes to supervisors and healthcare providers.
• Respond to call bells, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Support transportation to activities and appointments.
• Participate in care plan updates and team communications.
