Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide compassionate daily living support for residents in Martinsburg, WV. You will assist with activities of daily living, perform light housekeeping, and respond swiftly to calls and emergencies.

The role requires effective communication, teamwork with nursing staff, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays while maintaining dignity and privacy for residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Organized, able to work with all levels of staff.
• Contribute to nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Polite and respectful to residents, visitors, and colleagues.
• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods.
• Lift 50 lbs; push or carry 25 lbs.
• Safely lift/transfer residents with proper body mechanics.
• Uniform with name badge required during shifts.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Represent community positively and professionally.
• Attend and complete in-services and staff meetings.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas and rooms.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents moving to/from dining area and activities.
• Report status, appointments, admissions, and transfers in writing and verbally.
