Memory Care Program Assistant (Finance)



Job Summary

Assists the Clare Bridge Program Manager or Coordinator in leading and implementing a calendar of person-centered dementia-friendly programs that meet the specific needs of each resident within the dementia care community. In alignment with Brookdale's Resident and Family Engagement philosophy, assists in providing person-centered programs that engage residents in meaningful and purposeful dementia care activities, enhancing their quality of life. Recognizes individual abilities and needs, encouraging independence, and ensuring resident habits, routines, interests, and preferences are honored in care and programming.

Essential Functions
  1. Supports the implementation of person-centered programs tailored to residents' individual needs and interests.
  2. Assists in leading and engaging residents across the 7 domains of well-being—purposeful, intellectual, social, spiritual, emotional, and physical—in a dementia-friendly environment, including sensory-focused small groups for residents unable to participate in large groups.
  3. Helps review individual residents' service plans and completes necessary program documentation according to Brookdale standards and regulations.
  4. Ensures dementia care programs comply with state, federal, and other regulations while aligning with Brookdale’s mission, policies, and standards.
  5. Provides guidance and resources to staff on programming, engagement, and quality of life initiatives for residents.
  6. Coordinates and participates in community events such as family socials, marketing, and open houses.
  7. Communicates positively with residents, families, and community professionals about the dementia care program and its benefits, including updates on residents’ personal needs and successes.
  8. Assists in meeting quality improvement initiatives, including the Brookdale Excellence Standards Tool (BEST).
  9. Supports programming outside the community, which may involve driving a community vehicle.
  10. Assists with volunteer program management, including training and supervision of volunteers.
  11. Performs personal care, housekeeping, and dietary duties as needed to maintain service quality in accordance with program standards.
  12. This overview is not exhaustive; associates are expected to perform all duties assigned by their supervisor.

Salary Range: $14.86 - $18.57
