Job summary

Avamere Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Tech to administer medications and provide direct care to residents at Arete at Desert Sage in Bend, Oregon.

The role requires strong attention to safety, accurate documentation in EMR, and collaboration with nursing staff. Day and swing shifts offered, with full-time status and on-site work in a memory care/assisted living environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Caregiver and Medication Tech in memory care or assisted living facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to orders under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications in the resident's record.
• Notify the pharmacy or family when refills are needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Monitor and report side effects to the Director of Health Services.
• Document changes in residents' status in the EMR.
• Follow care plans for medication administration.
