Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking caregivers for Memory Care to safely administer prescribed medications and provide personal care and nursing services to residents. You will follow MAR/TAR records, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and ensure accurate charting while maintaining medication storage and cleanliness.

The role emphasizes adherence to regulations, teamwork with staff, and participation in ongoing training to support residents’ health and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, related experience helpful.
• Medication Technician certification may be required by state.
• English proficiency to perform duties and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-administered meds for Memory Care in line with regs and guidelines.
• Count and sign narcotics with authorized personnel; report discrepancies.
• Order meds; notify responsible party when stock approaches minimum.
• Notify supervisor if supply is low and meds missing.
• Verify meds against MAR; inform DHW/pharmacy of discrepancies.
• Store medications properly; separate from oral meds; date vials.
• Inspect medications weekly; remove expired items.
• Compare current MARs with new MARs during changeovers; report diffs.
• Remove discontinued meds from cart and hand to supervisor.
• Provide personal and general nursing care: baths, ADLs, vitals, etc.
• Record in daily log; respond to resident needs and calls.
• Clean med carts daily and restock; deep-clean weekly.
• Attend trainings and maintain medical charts for admissions/readmissions.
