Job summary

Avamere Sandy is seeking a Medication Tech in Memory Care to administer medications and provide direct care to residents. The role requires careful attention to physician orders, documentation in the EMR, and collaboration with nursing staff to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver and medication tech in memory care or similar facility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification while employed.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older and possess a friendly, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications per physician orders under RN supervision.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications in resident EMR.
• Notify pharmacy for refills and maintain medication cart/room.
• Monitor for side effects and report to Health Services Director.
• Follow care plans and assist with appointments and communications.
