Job summary

Avamere Living is seeking a Medication Tech for Sundays (6am-2pm) at Avamere at The Stafford in Lake Oswego, OR. The role involves administering medications and providing direct care to residents, under supervision of licensed nursing staff.

The position requires prior Caregiver/Medication Tech experience in memory care or assisted living, CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain), and a compassionate, professional demeanor focused on improving residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in a Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders and facility policy.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications administered in the resident's record.
• Notify the pharmacy when medications need refilling.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Monitor and report side effects to health services.
