Job summary

Avamere Living seeks a Med Tech to administer medications and provide direct care to residents at Avamere at Hillsboro. The role supports licensed nursing staff and follows physician orders within policy.

You will pass meds, document in EMR, monitor for side effects, and assist with appointments to improve residents' quality of life. The position requires experience in memory care or assisted living, CPR/First Aid certification, and a willingness to obtain a Food Handler's Card.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in memory care or assisted living.
• Must maintain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to physician orders under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Record medications in the resident's medical record and notify pharmacy when refills are needed.
• Maintain a clean medication cart and room, monitor for side effects, and report to Health Services.
• Assist with medical appointments, communicate with providers, and advocate for residents.
• Document changes in residents' status and follow care plans and facility policies.
• Perform delegated nursing tasks as assigned and participate in in-service education.
