Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a licensed practical nurse to lead dementia care and nursing operations at our Anthem community. You will oversee care plans, health assessments, and coordination with physicians, while guiding the team in resident-centered approaches.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse required.
• Caregiver certifications beneficial to the community plus management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in directing/providing dementia care for seniors preferred.
• Strong background in patient care assessment, assessing resident behavioral symptoms and developing non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting resident needs.
• Has experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet all state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and staffing of team members.
• Implementing resident-centered dementia care.
• Provide nursing care to residents, including health assessments, care plans, discussing changes with physicians, reducing falls, and medication administration.
• Coordinate the resident admission process including screening, assessment and care planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Occasionally fill in on the weekend as Manager-On-Duty.
