Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities in Arizona is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse with leadership experience to oversee dementia care and resident health assessments.

The role includes recruitment, training, supervision, care planning, coordinating admissions, and possible weekend coverage as Manager-On-Duty, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities in a supportive, patient-focused team.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• 1-2 years of management experience in dementia care for seniors preferred.
• Experience in community or long-term care settings; state requirements met.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and staffing of team members.
• Implementing resident-centered dementia care.
• Provide nursing care to residents, including health assessments, care plans, discussing changes with physicians, interventions to reduce falls, and medication administration.
• Coordinate the resident admission process with the community’s multidisciplinary team, including screening, assessment and care planning.
• Occasionally fill in on weekends as Manager-On-Duty.
