Job summary

PACS is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Director for Newport Beach Memory Care to oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and overall facility upkeep for a 26-apartment memory care community. The role combines leadership with hands-on work to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

The position requires proximity for emergency on-call service and supervises two housekeeping staff. Hours are 8:30-5:00, with full-time benefits; wage range is $28.00-$29.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance in a healthcare/assisted-living setting preferred.
• Ability to supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate with other departments.
• Willingness to provide emergency on-call coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and write policies/procedures.
• Lead the Maintenance Department and direct its programs and activities.
• Coordinate maintenance with dietary, health services, activities, and other departments.
• Ensure safety programs and fire prevention are implemented and followed.
• Inspect storage and maintenance areas and manage supply control.
• Oversee outside vendors and contract/work orders; supervise maintenance staff.
• Maintain department budget and track expenditures; report to the Executive Director.
