Job summary

Newport Beach Memory Care in Newport Beach, CA seeks a hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and overall facility upkeep for a 26-apartment memory care community. The role blends leadership with hands-on work to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

Requires hands-on maintenance leadership experience and ability to supervise a department.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct maintenance programs and activities.
Willingness to provide emergency on-call service in proximity to the community.

Responsibilities

Maintain and follow maintenance schedules across shifts and areas.
Direct the Maintenance Department and supervise two housekeeping staff.
Coordinate maintenance with other departments (Dietary, Health Services, Activities).
Ensure safety, fire protection, and compliance with OSHA/MSDS requirements.
Assist in budgeting for equipment, supplies, and labor and report to Executive Director.
Monitor and improve maintenance quality and respond to emergencies as needed.
