Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide basic therapeutic nursing care under the supervision of the RN in a standardized, routine care setting.

You will support the healthcare team by reviewing test results, administering medications, documenting care, and assisting with discharge planning while maintaining patient privacy and safety. Strong English communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN school.
• Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills and computer skills.
• Current Mississippi State license as LPN and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN.
• Reviews diagnostic test results and reports abnormal results and changes in patient condition to the RN, physician and appropriate healthcare team members in a timely manner.
• Administers prescribed medications, therapies and treatments in accordance with practical nursing standards.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders: documents all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards.
• Implements components of the plan of care within the LPN scope of practice and competency to promote desired outcomes
• Assists with discharge planning and carrying out the patients teaching plan under the direction of the RN.
• Evaluates and maintains the environment to promote patient and healthcare team safety.
• Provides compassionate basic nursing care, maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
