Job summary

Our Lady of the Angels Hospital, part of FMOL Health, seeks an LPN to provide basic therapeutic nursing care under supervision. The role focuses on routine, standardized patient care with predictable outcomes and requires initial guidance developing into independent practice.

The LPN will support discharge planning, maintain documentation, and collaborate with RNs to ensure safe and effective care while upholding patient privacy and confidentiality within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• English proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Licensed as LPN in Louisiana or have a work permit and BLS certification.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process under RN supervision.
• Review diagnostic tests and report changes to the RN, physician and care team.
• Administer prescribed medications, therapies and treatments per standards.
• Document patient care activities in medical records per guidelines.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient teaching with RN direction.
• Maintain safe environment and patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to execute patient plans of care.
