Job summary

Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay in Florida is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator for the Memory Care unit. This full-time role focuses on creating meaningful, therapeutic activities for residents with cognitive impairments and coordinating engaging programs that support overall well-being.

You will collaborate with care staff to tailor plans, monitor participation, and maintain a safe, supportive environment while enriching residents' daily lives through social and mental stimulation activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Recreational Therapy or related field.
• Understanding of cognitive impairments and engagement strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead activities for seniors.
• Certification or training in Recreational Therapy or related disciplines preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team and families.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, therapeutic, and recreational activities tailored to residents' cognitive and physical abilities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes socialization, mental clarity, and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with care staff to assess residents' needs and preferences, ensuring personalized activity plans.
• Coordinate entertainment, social events, and mental stimulation programs to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Monitor and document residents' participation and progress, adjusting activities as needed.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all activities and interactions.
