Job summary

475 MANAGEMENT is seeking an Activities Assistant to support resident engagement at our San Jose community. You will help plan the monthly activity calendar, lead events, and assist with promotional materials and social media updates.

Collaboration with the Director of Activities and staff ensures programs run smoothly and safely. The role requires experience in coordinating group activities, good English communication, and the ability to supervise volunteers.

Qualifications

• Must have at least six (6) months experience in providing planned activities or be enrolled in an appropriate education or training program.
• Must have one (1) year of experience in conducting group activities and be knowledgeable in evaluating residents’ needs, supervising other employees and in training volunteers.
• These requirements may be waived if an exception to this requirement is made by the licensing agency upon the community’s written presentation of a satisfactory alternative plan.
• Prefer one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities according to monthly calendar and under the direction of Director of Activities.
• Assist in making flyers, calendars, newsletters and updating social media websites as needed.
• Assist with scheduling transportation or driving vehicles as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding company, community, and/or department.
