Silverado is hiring a Resident Engagement (Activities) Assistant in a full-time role. You will help create meaningful daily experiences for residents with memory care needs through engaging programs and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s/dementia.
• Experience with memory care or older adults preferred.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Resident Engagement in planning and leading daily activity programs.
• Organize and facilitate memory enrichment activities for small groups.
• Encourage resident participation and celebrate achievements.
• Prepare materials and conduct research for recreational programs.
• Support music and occupational therapy sessions.

Skills

Effective communication

English fluency (spoken and written)

Valid driver’s license

Reliable transportation

Experience with older adults

Comfort with animals

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Education

High school diploma / GED
