Job summary

Oakmont Valencia, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Memory Care Director to lead a Whole living dementia care approach within a senior living community in California. This role guides care delivery, activities, and dining to exceed resident and family expectations and aligns with individualized service plans.

Applicants should bring dementia care expertise, leadership experience, and a track record of staff development.

Qualifications

• Mature, compassionate leader with dementia care knowledge.
• Experience supervising and developing teams.
• Strong communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Traditions (Memory Care) neighborhood to ensure care and activities meet plans.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations (Title 22) for memory care.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and retain memory care staff.
• Coordinate staffing schedules per policies and resident needs.
• Collaborate with culinary and health services to deliver personalized care and dining experiences.
• Support memory care resident assessments and care plan updates.
• Coordinate incidental medical, dental, vision, and podiatry care with health services.
