Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Memory Care Director to oversee care in the Memory Care neighborhood, including training and supervising staff, supporting care plan execution, and communicating with residents' families.

You will lead activities aligned with residents' interests and well-being, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain records, and collaborate with the Lifestyle team to deliver Cogir Signature programming.

Qualifications

• Degree in gerontology, nursing, social work, or related field preferred.
• CDP certification preferred or equivalent dementia training.
• Must meet state requirements to support resident ADL care and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise care staff to Cogir standards in Memory Care.
• Recruit, supervise, and schedule care staff per policy.
• Maintain medication program under Health and Wellness Director.
• Perform resident assessments and reassessments.
• Non-clinical contact for Memory Care residents and families.
• Ensure high resident satisfaction through quality services.
• Maintain resident records and charting current.
