The Experience Senior Living team is seeking a Director of Memory Care to lead a best-in-class dementia program at The Reserve Falls Church as part of the planned community opening in 2027.

Responsibilities include directing Memory Care staff, developing daily programming, onboarding and training, coordinating with Health and Wellness leadership, and ensuring a high-quality resident experience through evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred such as gerontology, social services, behavioral health, therapeutic recreation and/or nursing.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in caring for people with dementia or cognitive challenges, and in developing and facilitating activity programs, preferably as a manager with a specialized dementia program.
• LPN experience a plus.
• Knowledgeable about the disease process, the changes associated with dementia illnesses, how they affect the individual’s ability to communicate, process information and function.
• Experience in facilitating family and caregiver support programs.Experience performing budget analysis, review, and control
• Experience conducting trainings / presentations
• Experience supervising team members, holding performance conversations, and completing performance reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as solid listening skills.
• Position requires driving responsibilities (may use a company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Experience Senior Living’s Motor Vehicle Policy standards.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe and vibrant environment for residents with a dementia diagnosis or cognitive challenges, team members, and visitors.
• Supervise Memory Care team members by scheduling, delegating, and conducting performance reviews.
• Develop, plan, and organize daily enriching programming for Memory Care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
• Ensure onboarding, orientation, and training are completed within the specified timeframe.
• Train and lead team members in Experience Senior Living’s philosophy of care.
• Prepare and conduct monthly dementia in-service trainings and maintain attendance records.
• Evaluate the program using quality enhancement tools and feedback from team members and families.
• Partner with Health and Wellness leadership to support clinical and non-clinical operations.
• Manage budgetary reports to ensure compliance.
