Job summary

Rocky Mountain Care is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary requirements. You will collaborate with the Dietitian and Food Services Director, ensure proper portioning, and uphold strict sanitary practices in a fast-paced long-term care environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, an active Food Handlers Permit, and the ability to work beyond normal hours as needed. Training and safety protocols are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Current/Active Food Handlers Permit.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• One year dietary/food service supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to food preparation and prepare meals.
• Work with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services and implement changes as required.
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Serve meals with proper portion control and palatability.
• Assist in serving meals and maintain sanitation and safety.
• Maintain stock levels of staple and non-staple foods and assist in inventory.
