Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a dedicated CNA to support and assist in providing a holistic, therapeutic Memory Care Program on the Memory Care Unit. The CNA will work to achieve and maintain the highest quality of life for residents diagnosed with dementia while residing in the facility.

This role emphasizes continuous learning, including 12 hours of ongoing education annually, and supports family involvement through volunteering and visitation as part of a team-driven approach to dementia care.

Qualifications

• Commitment to dementia care knowledge and ongoing education.
• Becomes knowledgeable of each resident’s background, disease, needs, and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Advance a therapeutic, person-centered Memory Care Program for residents with dementia.
• Maintain a clean, safe, non-hazardous unit for residents and staff.
• Complete required documentation and adhere to Memory Care policies and regulations.
• Provide emotional support to residents, families, and the inter-disciplinary team.
• Be flexible to adapt to residents’ changing needs and participate in non-scheduled activities.
