Job summary

The CNA on the Memory Care Unit at Princeton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center provides holistic, person-centered care for residents with dementia, aiming to maintain quality of life and safety.

Qualifications

• Commit to ongoing growth in dementia care through annual education.
• Complete at least 12 hours of continual education annually and 16 hours orientation.
• Learn each resident’s background, life history, and care needs in detail.
• Utilize communication devices and language services to support resident communication.
• Provide non-pharmacological, memory-care activities to improve quality of life.
• Encourage family involvement through volunteering and visitation.
• Maintain a clean, safe unit and complete required documentation.
• Adhere to Memory Care policies and state/federal regulations.
• Provide feedback to Memory Care Director and adapt to changing resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a therapeutic, person-centered memory care activity program.
• Support family involvement and visitation.
• Maintain a clean, safe unit for residents and staff.
• Document all required information accurately.
• Follow all Memory Care policies and regulations.
• Provide emotional, caring support to residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
