Job summary

Princeton Rehab in Chicago, IL is seeking a compassionate CNA to support a memory care unit with person-centered, therapeutic care for residents living with dementia.

You will participate in an activity program, document care, and collaborate with the Memory Care Director and interdisciplinary team. Commitment to ongoing education and adherence to state and federal regulations is required.

Ability to engage families through visitation and volunteers, while ensuring a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Commit to ongoing growth as a knowledgeable healthcare provider in dementia care.
• Maintain required training: 16 hours orientation and 12 hours of continual education annually.
• Develop detailed knowledge of each resident’s background, needs, and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a memory care activity program that enhances residents' quality of life.
• Provide emotional, caring support to residents, families, and the inter-disciplinary team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, non-hazardous unit for residents and staff.
• Complete required documentation and comply with policies and regulations.
• Encourage family involvement through volunteering and visitation.
• Be flexible to adapt to residents' changing needs.
