Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support residents in our Memory Care community. You will assist with safe medication administration and daily living activities in a home-like setting under supervision.

Join our team to promote comfort, dignity, and consistency of care for memory-impaired residents while collaborating with nursing staff and caregivers in a resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program that meets state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and promptly report adverse reactions or concerns.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support coworkers by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested.
