Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide safe, accurate medication administration and compassionate daily care to residents. Working under licensed nursing supervision, you will ensure medications are given correctly, monitor residents, and deliver care with dignity in a warm, home-like setting.

This role focuses on upholding resident safety, wellbeing, and person-centered care while supporting the team with daily tasks and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program that meets state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support team members by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested
