Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support memory care residents. You will administer prescribed medications under nursing supervision and assist with daily living activities in a home-like environment.

Working in a Memory Care community, you will help promote comfort and dignity, document care accurately, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure resident safety and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of CMA program meeting state requirements
• Active CMA certification in good standing

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed nursing staff
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage/time/observations
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including hygiene, meals, and mobility
• Report changes in resident condition to charge staff
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and intake/outtake
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required
• Support coworkers by providing assistance as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested
