Job Description

Part-Time - Evening Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

The Caregiver assists residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, grooming, hygiene, transportation, and maintaining dignity with high-quality service, adhering to all policies and regulations.

Essential Job Duties (with % of time):

1. Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs, maintaining dignity and safety (50%)
2. Follow care plans for proper care (10%)
3. Assist with daily activities including bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, and mobility (20%)
4. Assist at mealtime with meals and tray delivery (3%)
5. Transport residents safely (3%)
6. Perform safety checks (1%)
7. Encourage participation in activities (1%)
8. Complete laundry and assist with community activities (1%)
9. Manage oxygen equipment as ordered (1%)
10. Document resident information and communicate changes (4%)
11. Respond to alerts and emergencies (3%)
12. Ensure safety and participate in safety drills (1%)

Non-Essential Duties:

• Maintain a positive and professional appearance
• Promote teamwork and effective communication
• Manage time effectively
• Interact tactfully with residents, families, and guests
• Adhere to policies on breaks and rest periods
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must be 18+ or have proper work authorization
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Nurses Aid certification preferred
• Current first aid certification
• Background checks as required
• Health screening and TB test (within last 6 months or 7 days of employment)
• Prior caregiving experience preferred, on-the-job training available
• Ability to read, speak, and follow directions in English
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals
• Meet state regulatory requirements

Physical Demands:

• Must be mobile and able to perform physical tasks including lifting 40+ pounds and pushing 150 pounds unassisted
