Job summary

Koelsch Communities in Bloomingdale, IL seeks an enthusiastic Caregiver to join the Resident Services Department. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Starting at $20/hour, pay depends on experience, with shifts from 6AM–2PM, 2PM–10PM, and 10PM–6AM. We provide a CNA Certification Program paid by the company, and a comprehensive benefits package including health and other insurances, HSA contributions, vacation, sick leave and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire.
• Must be able to gain CPR/First-Aid certification as needed.
• Must pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Keep the environment safe and clean for residents
• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times
• Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse
• Perform other duties as assigned
