Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Memory Care Aide to support a holistic, person-centered memory care program for residents with dementia. The role involves implementing therapeutic activities, assisting with assessments, and maintaining high-quality life for residents.

Shift is 1pm–9pm. Candidates should have a high school diploma, healthcare experience, and a strong desire to work with memory care residents. English proficiency and empathy are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in healthcare (work or volunteer) preferred.
• At least 3 months experience with Alzheimer's/dementias.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Willingness to learn about dementia care and apply therapeutic approaches.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing Memory Care programs and activities.
• Maintain holistic, person-centered memory care on the unit.
• Assist in assessments and documentation for memory care planning.
• Engage with residents, families, and staff; encourage family involvement.
• Provide emotional support to residents and interdisciplinary team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
