Job summary

Atria Signature Collection is seeking compassionate team members to support Life Guidance programs and deliver engaging recreational activities for residents in Foster City. You will help plan and implement diverse programs, celebrate birthdays, and foster a welcoming, interactive community.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of recreational therapy, and the ability to work varied shifts. State certifications vary by location and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of recreational therapy methods and their application to activities for residents with Alzheimer's/Dementia.
• Certification(s) required based on current state regulations.
• Experience with adult populations in activities/training preferred.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned Life Guidance programs and develops service plans.
• Offers adequate and diversified recreational activities with supervision.
• Involves Life Guidance staff in daily planning including activities of daily living.
• Plans individual birthday celebrations for each resident.
• Develops programs for residents including those confined to their rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents toward participation.
• Greets new residents and helps integrate them into the community.
• Plans parties and activities and decorates the community for seasons/holidays; plans monthly birthday celebrations.
• Supports census-building initiatives.
• Maintains records of activities, participation levels, and acceptance per state law.
• Assists Life Guidance Director in enlisting volunteers to aid the activities program.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
