Job summary

Clarendale of Algonquin is seeking a compassionate and creative Activities Assistant to support Memory Care residents with meaningful programs that promote their physical, mental and social well-being.

You will plan, schedule and lead daily activities, assist with event calendars, and collaborate with Life Enrichment leadership to deliver engaging experiences tailored to memory care residents in a supportive community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Six months' experience working with seniors in activities or life enrichment preferred.
• Memory Care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and lead meaningful activities for Memory Care residents.
• Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning events and calendars.
• Lead daily resident activities to support engagement and mental health.
• Prepare and distribute monthly event calendars for residents and staff.
• Partner with leadership to address resident needs.
