Job summary

Clarendale of Algonquin is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to support Memory Care residents by planning and leading meaningful activities that benefit physical, mental and social well‑being. You will assist with scheduling, calendars, and event planning, working closely with the Life Enrichment team and leadership.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (associate’s degree preferred) and 6 months’ experience with seniors in activities; Memory Care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Six months’ experience working with seniors in activities or life enrichment preferred.
• Memory Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and lead engaging activities for Memory Care residents.
• Support wellness and engagement through diverse activity programs.
• Assist with planning and coordinating monthly event calendars.
• Collaborate with leadership to address resident needs.
• Lead daily activities for Memory Care residents per community standards.
