Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Waterford CT is seeking a Life Guidance Coordinator to lead assigned Life Guidance programs and develop service plans while delivering diverse activities for residents in the community.

You will plan daily activities, coordinate celebratory events, involve staff, and support census-building initiatives with dementia-care awareness. Certification as required by state regulations is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–2 years experience with adults
• Working knowledge of activity programming for residents with Alzheimer's/Dementia
• Required certifications based on state regulations
• Able to work various schedules and shifts

Responsibilities

• Leads Life Guidance programs and develops service plans
• Offers diversified activities with supervision
• Involves Life Guidance staff in planning daily activities
• Plans resident birthday celebrations and seasonal community events
• Develops programs for residents including room-bound individuals
• Engages residents to maximize participation
• Greets new residents and facilitates introductions
• Supports census-building initiatives and maintains activity records
