Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Programming Coordinator for the Harbor location. The role focuses on coordinating, implementing, and evaluating activities and programs for residents with cognitive impairment, based on the Six Dimensions of Wellness to maintain overall well-being.

You will lead one-on-one, small group, and large group activities, produce engaging newsletters, and ensure programs meet residents’ needs, interests, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing a robust calendar of programs for elders and dementia.
• Possesses current CPR if required.
• Ability to train and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Implements events and activities to enhance memory support and resident quality of life.
• Evaluates programs to ensure quality matches interests and abilities of residents.
• Develops a seven-day-a-week activity program incorporating the Six Dimensions of Wellness.
• Produces monthly newsletters and calendars, and updates daily activity calendar.
• Coordinates a Resident Council meeting to capture resident preferences and goals.
• Maintains contracts, documentation and scheduling of vendors and resources.
