Clinton Place is seeking an Activities Assistant to engage memory care residents through meaningful programs and events. The role supports the Resident Program Director and collaborates with care staff to tailor activities to individual interests and abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent experience).
• 6 months–1 year of experience leading or assisting activities in a senior living or healthcare setting.
• Ability to take initiative and lead activities when the Activities Director is unavailable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with individuals with cognitive, physical, or sensory challenges.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead meaningful activities tailored to residents living with memory loss.
• Encourage participation through patience, creativity, and genuine engagement.
• Escort residents to on-site and community events as assigned.
• Help register residents for activities, programs, and special outings.
• Conduct activities under the guidance of the Resident Program Director.
• Maintain and organize activity supplies, including purchasing items as needed.
• Observe residents and share relevant information with care team members.
• Follow departmental budget guidelines.
• Attend required training, in-service sessions, and staff meetings.
• Promote a safe, positive, and professional environment for residents, families, and co-workers.
