Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) is seeking a Work Study - Membership Representative to support Trail Point and campus members. The role provides 10 hours per week with early mornings and weekend shifts, aligned with student schedules, and involves engaging members, following policies, and processing memberships.

Applicants must be eligible for federal work-study, complete the DMACC Employment Application in English, and attach transcripts.

Qualifications

Complete First Aid, CPR / AED Certification within 60 days of hire.
Must possess strong communication skills in person and on the phone and have strong attention to detail.
Ability to make independent and sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to address member concerns and account issues professionally.
Ability to reflect a positive attitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Engage in meaningful conversation with Trail Point’s members, guests, DMACC students, faculty, and staff.
Follow policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency and safety for all members and staff.
Work collaboratively alongside Trail Point staff, practice strong communication and be inclusive of others.
Become well versed in Trail Point’s offerings including hours of operation, membership structure & pricing, tours, form management, sales processing, and more.
