Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College is seeking a part-time work-study student at Boone Campus to support Student Services, lead campus tours, assist with visits and events, and represent DMACC across departments.

The role requires current enrollment, minimum 12 credits, and a GPA of 2.5, with strong communication, teamwork and professional skills. 20 hours/week, mostly weekdays, with salary of $12.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be a current, full-time DMACC student taking at least 12 credits.
• Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• Must demonstrate written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, adaptability and problem-solving abilities, teamwork and collaboration skills, basic computer knowledge, leadership potential, and reliability and professionalism.
• Must possess a genuine passion for helping others succeed in their educational journey, a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills, and a true enthusiasm for DMACC.

Responsibilities

• Support Student Services, enhance the prospective student experience, and foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all campus visitors.
• Lead campus tours, assist with campus visits and events, represent DMACC, and support other departments as assigned.
