Job summary

Palm Aire Country Club in Sarasota, FL seeks an experienced Membership Manager. You will conduct Club tours, build relationships with prospective members, and guide applicants through the membership process from inquiry to onboarding.

You will also manage applications, changes, transfers, and resignations, maintain records, and collaborate with Accounting on member setup and billing. The role includes tracking trends, preparing reports, and supporting member communications and marketing

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience in membership, private clubs, hospitality, relationship-based sales or a similar high-touch environment.

Palm Aire Country Club is looking for an experienced Membership Manager who is polished, personable, organized and genuinely enjoys people.

We are a private, member owned country club in Sarasota with a long history, a welcoming culture and a team that takes pride in creating a great experience for our members. We work hard, we enjoy what we do and we believe professionalism and personality can absolutely coexist.

As Membership Manager, you will be one of the first people prospective members meet and a familiar resource for our existing members. You will conduct Club tours, build relationships with prospective members, manage leads and guide applicants through the membership process from first inquiry through onboarding.

The role goes well beyond sales. You will manage membership applications, changes, transfers and resignations, maintain accurate and confidential records and work closely with Accounting on member setup and billing. You will also track membership trends and conversions, prepare reports and contribute to member communications, engagement programs and marketing initiatives.

We are looking for someone who brings experience and ideas to the table. Someone who knows how to follow up without being asked, can handle a sensitive conversation with discretion and understands that sometimes the smallest details make the biggest impression.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience in membership, private clubs, hospitality, relationship-based sales, client services or a comparable high touch environment

• Private country club or membership organization experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to build lasting relationships with members while delivering a consistently high level of service
• Experience managing prospective member or client relationships from initial inquiry through follow up, decision and onboarding
• Strong professional presence with the confidence to conduct Club tours and represent Palm Aire professionally
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, follow through and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information and sensitive member matters
• Comfortable working with membership data, reports, lead tracking and performance metrics
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with Clubessential preferred
• Experience with Canva, marketing communications or basic graphic design is a plus
• Associate degree or higher preferred. Significant relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
